Some collectors prefer the DEFENDER version due to how rare it is. Fossil only released this version for a few teams as the Fossil versions sold out and then dropped all Sport logo watches before very many were made. Other collectors prefer the Fossil name on their watch. Both versions are the same exact style and qualtiy and were made in the same factories. The only difference is the DEFENDER logo at 6 O'clock vs the Fossil name logo.
